The polarization test probe is a long-lasting, highly stable, IR drop-eliminating cathodic protection potential measurement probe for buried steel pipelines. It is primarily designed for detecting and monitoring cathodic protection potentials in corrosion control projects for buried and submerged steel pipelines. Through its specialized structure, the probe can eliminate approximately 90% of IR drop in soil media. When used in conjunction with the ZSC-2 Cathodic Protection Potential Meter, it can virtually eliminate IR drop in soil media, ensuring more accurate and reliable cathodic protection potential results for detection and monitoring. The probe incorporates an internal reference electrode made of copper/saturated copper sulfate or zinc. Developed in accordance with NACE TM0494 “Test Methods for Cathodic Protection of Buried and Submerged Metal Pipelines,” this product meets the latest domestic and international technical standards.

When not in use, submerge the lower portion of the polarization test probe in tap water. To prevent rusting of the polarization test specimen, connect a sacrificial anode to either lead 2 or lead 3 of the probe. Even if surface rust forms on the test specimen, it can be gently wiped off before use without affecting functionality.
